On August 20th, 2015, Ms Klaudia Lach, Chargé d'Affaires ai, and Mr Sebastian Stepnicki, Head of the Trade and Investment Section of the Embassy of Poland in UAE met with the Heads of the Department of European Affairs and the Department of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE. Apart from the political and consular matters, the economic issues were addressed too. Head of the Trade and Investment Section introduced its tasks to support bilateral intensification of trade and investment trends. He did thank for the fruitful dialogue between the government administrations of the two countries, he also confirmed plans to conduct the third meeting of the Polish-Emirates Joint Commission of Economic Cooperation in 2016 in Poland. Moreover, he referred to the outstanding results of the second Commission meeting in Dubai in April 2015 that coincided with the visit of Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and Minister of Economy in the UAE.
Head of Trade and Investment Section noted the role of the UAE as a hub for re-exporting commodities to the other markets in the Gulf and East Africa. In addition to this he informed about ongoing talks about the first UAE investments in Poland, which could usher in broader interest of private investors in settling in our country. Moreover, Mr Sebastian Stepnicki also thanked for the expression of readiness both visited departments to support the organization of events of an economic nature in the future.
