Poland’s participation in Dubai's Arab Health 2018 edition achieved the highest so-far exposure for its medical equipment industry across the Middle East region.
Almost 50 exhibitors from Poland along with Polish National Pavilion organized by Polish Investment and Trade Agency presented the wide spectrum of Polish specialist manufacturers and suppliers for the UAE market as well as Middle East, Africa, and Asia region. Each of these exhibitors presented their own offer, spanning across devices used for diagnosis, treatment, surgery, rehabilitation, dental and veterinary specializations, as well as innovative, trend-setting solutions for wellness, patient self-check and remote diagnosis. Meanwhile, Polish National Pavilion presented the strength of Polish medical sector, shared industry information, facilitated business meetings, and held a Press Briefing to connect with local media channels. The Press Briefing took place on Januray 30, at 11:00am and was attended by local media, business entities, and potential investors.
Polish medical equipment market is valued at approx. 10 billion AED. Back in 2010, Poland’s export value of medical devices was 1.6 billion AED, since then Poland dynamically expanded its product diversity to cash-in 4.6 billion AED from exports in 2016, which represents a 3 billion AED leap. For 2016 export destinations, 50% of export remained within EU, while 32% of this export reached Western Europe, where Germany remained the largest export market.
Polish medical equipment producers and distributers have great potential for international expansion. Innovative and high-quality products manufactured by Polish companies find opportunities for overseas success. Government promotion programs such Brand enhance exposure and make it easier to reach far markets, not yet considered, says Witold Włodarczyk, director general of POLMED, Poland’s Medical Chamber.
Andrzej Szewczyk, deputy director of Economic Promotion Department at Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) confirmed that Polish National Stand, organized by Polish Investment and Trade Agency is promoting the medical equipment sector to the export market. A Polish expert for this sector was available at the stand to talk to the visitors and present the advantages and potential to increase interest in Polish medical equipment and Poland as an economy.
